Objective

Flooring the gas isn't enough here. Success demands precise braking, ideal racing lines, and delicate throttle control. Every corner punishes mistakes but rewards precise driving — just like on a real racetrack.

One Car, Tuned to Perfection

In this game, you can only drive the Ferrari F355 Challenge race car. Yu Suzuki wanted to model a single car perfectly rather than dozens with compromises. The tracks include legendary locations such as Suzuka, Laguna Seca, Monza, and the Nürburgring.

Fun Facts

  • Yu Suzuki's own Ferrari F355 helped inform the development.
  • The Deluxe version featured three monitors for a panoramic view.
  • Races take place on real-world racetracks.
  • Many consider it one of the best arcade racing simulators of all time.
  • The three-monitor Deluxe cabinet provided a field of view of nearly 180°, letting players see toward the left and right mirrors as well. At the time, this was a special solution that predated home simulator setups by years.

Why Did It Become Legendary?

While most arcade racers were about flashy drifting, Ferrari F355 Challenge put real driving feel front and center. Thanks to its authentic physics, detailed cockpit view, and precise controls, it remains a benchmark among arcade simulators to this day.

Who Is It For?
