Game Objective

You race a rally car on varied courses and surfaces, and the goal is to finish as high up as you can before time runs out. You choose from licensed rally and WRC cars, including models from Citroën, Ford, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Subaru and Suzuki. Cabinets can be linked up to six for multiplayer races.

The Twin Cabinet

Sega Rally 3 was built in four cabinet versions: a large single-player deluxe with motion simulation, a large single-player deluxe without motion, a smaller non-motion twin, and a single-player version. The museum has the smaller twin cabinet, where two players sit side by side. Up to six cabinets can be linked, so more people can race each other.

It was developed alongside Sega Rally Revo and shares many elements with it (the music is largely the same, and art is shared). In the deluxe version, the motion-simulation seat moved in response to the on-screen action.
