Get My Ticket!Game Objective
The goal is simple: escape the cops and score as many points as you can! The playfield features highway-style ramps, flashing signal lights and special targets. Fast, accurate shots take you to higher and higher speed gears while the police keep chasing you. One of the game's most spectacular features is the Supercharger, a special magnetically driven ball-accelerator track on which the ball circles at incredible speed. Collect gears, complete the chase-related tasks, and activate the high-scoring modes! Success takes precise ramp shots, quick reactions and good timing. If you drive well, multiball modes can earn you even bigger scores.

Why Is It Special?
One of The Getaway's biggest innovations is the Supercharger, which is not a simple ramp but an electromagnetic ball-accelerator system evoking the speed of a motorized chase. The gear-shift-shaped control, which the player can use to activate various functions, is another highlight. The experience of shifting gears appears not only on screen but in how you handle the machine. Thanks to its fast-paced gameplay and inventive mechanics, The Getaway became one of Williams' most memorable pinball machines. The designer of The Getaway: High Speed II, Steve Ritchie, also created the original 1986 High Speed. The first game was inspired by a real police chase in which, by Ritchie's own account, he fled from the police while speeding. The sequel took that idea to a new level with the Supercharger, the digital display and even faster gameplay.
